DRUG CARD GUIDE & FOUNDATIONAL LIST

My med cards are my pride & joy

Yes, I know that writing them out is pain & time consuming but honestly it will help you remember & understand the drugs you hand out

My method:

- colour code everything

don't just rewrite the MOA, put it in your own words & in a way you understand

- write down the names of any drugs youre unfamiliar with to make cards for later

- at the start of your shift pull out the cards that apply to your patient & keep those on a separate binder ring (don't try to carry around the whole stack)

*I laminate mine because I'm obsessive - you do you

there are some AWESOME extra resources for this topic!
